Baby showers are a traditional way to celebrate the coming birth of a new baby. The main focus is usually to give gifts that new parents will need for the baby. The first step is to determine the date. A baby shower should be hosted about a month before the expected due date. The second thing to do is to make list of the guest, then pick out baby shower invitations to be distributed. Now, the third, the hardest part, is to plan for the party. Many people enjoy playing games or having some baby shower crafts during the shower. However, if moms-to-be do like games, then food, drink, chatting, and opening presents are also fun. And lastly, after the occasion, do not forget to send out baby shower thank you cards to all the guests for all their participation and support.
how much of an increase in value will I see doing a home renovation?

I am thinking of having a 300ft addition built. This addition will create a master bedroom suite and an large updated kitchen. Estimated cost of renovation 100,000.
On home renovation shows on TV, why do they never go into detail on doing electrical work?
by Eclecticity on 18. Aug, 2010 in Home And Family
I watched an episode of Hometime today where they were installing ceramic tile on the floor. They spent the entire half-hour program going into detail of each step of the way. I’ve seen that with other kinds of work too, but never with electrical. On any given program where the project involves any electrical work, they never spend more than 5 minutes describing it, and they only give an overview of what needs to be done — not how to actually do it.

What do we do if we know we were exposed to asbestos during home renovation?
by Eclecticity on 05. Aug, 2010 in Home And Family
My husband and I bought a house built in 1908 and have been doing some minor work on it. The house had “popcorn” ceiling in one of the rooms, that we naively removed two weeks ago. Since finishing the project, we’ve been advised that most of that old popcorn ceiling contained asbestos. We did put up plastic, wet the ceiling down to remove the popcorn texture and did a thorough clean-up with wet towels and a shop vac afterwards, but in no way did we take the proper precautions against asbestos. Now we’re worried we released the fibers all over the house.
What should we do next? How can we deal with the fibers that may still be in our home? What is the likelihood we will develop lung problems from this exposure?
where to get ideas on modern/contemporay design for home renovation?
by Eclecticity on 29. Jul, 2010 in Home And Family
so im buying a house and will be renovating it. i like modern/contemporary design so will probably be overhauling the interior alot. now i just needs ideas; i went to both home depot and expo design center to see what they have and that was good. also looking on the websites of a couple of las vegas casinos that i am a fan of (TheHotel, Wynn, Belaggio, skylofts…) and that was good too. also checked out armani casa.
anyone else have ideas as to where else to look for inspiration?
many thanks
