Vitamins during Pregnancy

Pregnant women need vitamins. And that is a necessity, because they need to fulfill the need for certain vitamins and mineral in order for the babies to grow perfectly. There are several vitamins and mineral ingredients that need to be included in liquid prenatal vitamin because they are highly important for the growth of the babies. Those essential ingredients are folic acid, calcium, iron, and DHA. The folic acid is to prevent serious birth defects in the babies, calcium is for the development of bones, iron is for the development of blood, and DHA is for the brain. However, choosing prenatal vitamins with the right composition is very important, since the wrong blends can have negative results.

Traveling to Oaxaca With Children

Oaxaca has traditionally been known as an adult travel destination, steeped in ruins, colonial churches, museums and a tradition for fine art and handicrafts.  But having been visiting the region regularly since 1991, always with our daughter, and now having been living here for a few years and regularly toured friends and family with young children around the city and outlying sites, without a doubt young families contemplating a visit should set aside any lingering trepidation regarding both the well-being of their young progeny, and their parents’ ability to have at least somewhat of a romantic getaway.

Having pondered such considerations from time to time, I can now offer valuable suggestions regarding where to stay even without a pool, what tour routes will definitely hold the interests of children and teens, and what activities exist in and around the city on a regular basis, geared to youthful vacationers. The two child-friendly tour routes are as follow.

The promise of Hierve el Agua at the end of one of the two main tour routes is the best possible means by which to keep children in check during the first half of this day trip.  On the return to Oaxaca from this site they’ll be sleeping in the back of the car or van, no doubt having been exposed to too much sun and water activity.

You are teaching your children because you feel and it is alright to vent your feeling out in public no matter who it hurts.

Hurtful names in front of your children

Are you calling hurtful names in front of your children hoping to hurt your mate emotional so they will know how it feel to get hurt and the children is in the room will you are doing this.

Later on your children will call you the same names because they will think that it is acceptable.

Do you find yourself blaming the other

Do you find yourself blaming your mate in front of the children because of the difficulties you have with spending money.

In blaming your mate for what happening you teach your children to be a victim and to blame others for what it is happening in their life without taking their responsibility.

Disappointed in your mate

Do you show that you are disappointed in your mate in front of your children and verbally or physically express this in front of your children?

Talking bad in front

Do you find yourself talking bad saying hurtful thing in front of the children when your mate has left the room because you feel that it is easier than if your mate was standing in front for that would create more confrontation.

Throwing things

Do you find when you get upset in front of your children you throw things at your mate even if it is a little thing.

Screaming

Are you a person when you get upset even in front of your children you screaming but you do not realize that you are screaming?

Being inconsistent

Do you find that you are inconsistent with things you say and do in front of your children if yes you are giving a wrong message to your children?

Your children needs guidance that will carry them in to a better relationship when they grow up and when you are saying one thing and doing another you leave the children with a feeling of insecurity.

Scaring your mate

Do you find yourself scaring your mate with your outburst of anger in front of your children and is this what you want as an outcome.

This attitude changes your children history for the future and how they see or believe what a relationship is about.

Verbally aggressive

Are you verbally aggressive to your mate in front of your children and they are not so sure how to behave because they do not know if they are next.

Do you find the way your mate talk to you triggers feeling in you that you find difficult to control and your behaviour is affecting your children because most of the time it is happening in front of them.

Not listening

If you feel that the only way to get your point across because you do not feel that your mate is listening to what you have to say screaming in front of your children is not the way to go because you are teaching them that about how to conduct themselves in a relationship when they do not feel heard.

Time out

Know that when you are emotionally charge you may not be thinking logically of what to say, how to form the right words to your mate in front of the children so it is better a time out so both of you can resume the conversation without the children around.

Conclusion: How you behave in front of your children affects them in either a positive or negative way and changes how they perceive the world and how they will behave in their relationships.

Why Might Your Children Need A Chewable Multiple Vitamin Supplement

Unfortunately, refined, fast, and junk food is becoming easier and easier for children to buy and consume. Vending machines offer candy bars, sugar-filled soft drinks, and snack foods loaded with fat and salt to children in both grade schools and high schools. Many school cafeterias also sell fast-food to children for lunch every day. It seems as if nutritionally lacking snacks and soft drinks are sure to be available everywhere children go and gather. Parents who are determined to fight this disturbing trend are seeking solutions everywhere to help their children get their needed nutrition. One answer they are finding is supplemental multivitamins, many of which are formulated especially for children. There are superior multivitamins and exceptional immune boosting products that actually taste great.

Because there is so much variability in the food we prepare, even the most nutritionally vigilant parent cannot be absolutely certain as to what nutrients are in the food they serve to their children. For example, fat-soluble vitamins can withstand normal cooking, but vitamins A and E are destroyed gradually as they are exposed to air. Similarly, water-soluble vitamins including B1, B6, folic acid, and pantothenic acid are destroyed by heat. Vitamin B2 is destroyed by light and heat and vitamin C is destroyed by light and air. Some food preservatives and preparation methods can destroy the vitamins in food. Even more, raw fruit and vegetables that are grown in a way that does not promote nutrient content can be lacking nutrients. There are also those crazy food phases that all children seem to go through. Although these phases are generally harmless, there are exceptions.

How Media Drives Obesity in Children and Simple Counter Tactics

One the most important indicators of the state of health of Americans today may be the ever increasing rate of overweight and obese children. The Institute of Medicine has found that one-third of American children are either obese or at risk for obesity. The Center of Disease Control has found that, since 1980, the proportion of overweight children ages 6-11 has doubled and the number of overweight adolescents has tripled.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, the increase in childhood obesity represents and unprecedented burden on children’s health. “If we don’t deal with children, this could be the first generation that will live sicker and die younger than its parents,” states Dr. James S. Marks, senior vice president of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which recently announced an unprecedented effort to reverse childhood obesity epidemic by 2015.

Obesity or being overweight is not only harmful to the self-esteem and mental health of youngsters in a society that places such high value on thinness, but there are serious physical health concerns as well. According to Dr. Melissa A. Kalt, Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, overweight kids are set up for premature health risks such as Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and even poor behavior in school like inattentiveness, disruptiveness, truancy, and low grade scores. Informative Speech On Migraine In Children

Picture this. Your 9-year old daughter staggers to the breakfast table; hands on head, and moans plaintively, “I can’t go to school today. I have a headache.” “Nonsense,” you say. You give her an aspirin with breakfast and say, “Off you go. You’ll feel better when your history test is over.”

But what if this happens every few weeks? Might it be migraine? Is there such a thing as migraine in children?

Betsy’s Migraines – a true story

My introduction to the possibility of migraine in children came when I was teaching fourth grade in Massachusetts. That’s when I met 9-year old Betsy. Betsy was a pretty child, but headaches kept her from making either friends or academic progress. Betsy claimed to experience regular bouts of migraine in children. Her doting mother vowed that Betsy’s attacks were real, but I was skeptical, since they always coincided with things Betsy disliked.
